Cleaning & Environmental Support Manager – Mitie, White Rose Shopping Centre, Leeds

Mitie is seeking a proactive and dedicated Cleaning & Environmental Support Manager to join our team at White Rose Shopping Centre. This is a permanent position, offering 42.5 hours per week.  

Closing Date: 19/12/2024  

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team of cleaning staff and team leaders.  
- Perform hands-on cleaning tasks, setting an example of high standards.  
- Conduct quality control inspections and address issues promptly.  
- Develop and manage cleaning schedules for optimal efficiency.  
- Monitor and manage cleaning supplies and equipment.  
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.  
- Implement sustainable practices, including eco-friendly products and waste reduction initiatives.  
- Develop and execute a winter strategy for gritting and snow removal.  
- Liaise with other departments to coordinate cleaning activities.  

Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a support manager role within cleaning or environmental services.  
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.  
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.  
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.  
- Commitment to sustainability and waste reduction practices.  
- Experience in developing and managing winter strategies.  
- IOSH or higher certification required. 
- Full UK manual driving license required.
