White Rose Shopping Centre offers a warm welcome to all our guests and it’s important to us that everyone can enjoy the shopping, dining and leisure available. For some children and adults, who have hidden disabilities, this can be more challenging. That’s why we’ve introduced two sensory backpacks which are available to hire free of charge from our Guest Services Suite.
These sensory backpacks are particularly suitable for our autistic guests, and are packed full of items to assist children and adults and include sensory ear defenders, and a selection of fifidget gadgets:
We will be asking users of the sensory backpacks to return them after use to our Guest Services Desk.
If you'd like to find out more details in advance of your visit, please contact our Guest Services team on 0113 2291234.

Four of our disabled toilets have been updated to include the correct Stoma Facilities (two are located upstairs near New Look, one is in the Food Court, and one is located near M&S). Each toilet now includes wall hooks, a colostomy bag shelf, toilet door stickers, a wall mirror and the correct disposal facilities.
Together with Leeds City Council, we're proud to have added to the development of a network of Changing Places facilities across the country with our very own facility here at White Rose.
Changing Places are toilet facilities for people with profound and multiple disibilities. Each one is fitted with specialist equipment such as a hoist and changing bench and provides enough space for up to 2 carers to assist the person with disability.
Our Changing Places facility can be accessed from Car Park 6, or from inside the mall using the lift to the right of New Look.
Forgotten your key? Don't worry - just ask at our Customer Services Centre where our friendly team will be happy to sign a key out for you.
