ARISE stands for the Alliance to Reward Initiatives and Social Enterprise. It’s an initiative that was set up in 2005 as a source of funding for groups and organisations offering community-based activities in the south Leeds area.
The initiative is supported by Land Securities, which owns and manages White Rose Shopping Centre and fellow property investment and development companies Evans Property Group - whose head offices are based in Millshaw and Munroe K, which owns the neighbouring White Rose Office Park.
With their funding, more than 250 awards, totalling in excess of £220,000, have already been made by an independent awards selection committee, to grass-roots groups and organisations, whose voluntary work has benefited tens of thousands of people of all ages and from all backgrounds across south Leeds.
Requests for funding up to a maximum of £1,000 can be made by any group, organization or individual who wants to do something to help their local community.
If you are involved in a voluntary group or organisation that is based in south Leeds and would like to make a request for funding, please email ARISE administrator Tim Flanagan.
